【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardspecifiesanacceleratedspeedmethodfordeterminingthesurfacestrengthintermsofthepickvelocityandpickresistanceofcoatedanduncoatedpaperandboard,andintermsofthedelaminationresistanceofthelineronpaperboard,bysimulatingthebehaviourintheprintingprocess.Becauseofthelimitedareatestedandthegeneralcharacterofthetest,itwillnotusuallydetectlocalimperfectionssuchassurfacedebris.Thistestisespeciallyimportantforpapersandboardswhicharetobeprintedinlithographicoffsetorletterpress,becausetheinksusedinthesetechniquestraditionallyhaveahighviscosityandhightackvalues.Duetotheincreasingtendencyforthetackandviscosityofmodernflexographicinkstobehigh,thismethodisalsousefulinthatfield.Intheinterpretationofthetestresults,attentionmustbegiventothefactthattheresultscanbeseriouslyinfluencedbydifferencesintestingconditions,differencesininstrumentsanddifferencesinthecalibrationstateofthetestequipment.Thepickvelocity,etc.,determinedhereshouldnotbeinterpretedasbeingtherunningspeedofaprintingpressinpractice.NOTE1AlthoughIGT-typetestersofthependulumtypeareoutsidethescopeofthisInternationalStandard,thedescribedmethodcanalsobeusedfortheseinstruments.Theresultswillbeslightlydifferent,duetothedifferenceinvelocityprofile.NOTE2TheuseoftheWestvacotypedeviceandtheuseoftack-gradedinksarenotcoveredbythisInternationalStandard.
